Thankfully there wasn't much needed to do, bring in some beds, and food for the shelters.
Today was pretty nice, a good breeze has helped to keep the heat from beating us down. still doesn't have a name yet, but it will be a place to host people escaping some of the battles hosted by new kingdoms rising since the disappearance of Artorious. I'll remain carefully optimistic about this game. It's been months since we started working on this new city. Let us mix the party as we see fit, and not get gimped for deciding to solo the game. Hopefully the skill system isn't absurdly daft, and there's no "linking" or "armatization" this time around. Gameplay wise, this sounds much, much better than Zestiria (which to be fair, isn't something hard to do). From what I can see, on the early game, you'll be rewarded with more combo opportunities for playing offensively (which ties nicely into the anger and revenge theme), and I expect the gameplay to eventually reach the usual "cuhrayzee" combo potential as you unlock skills that raise your base Soul Gauge. As much as I hate the Graces/Zestiria battle system, a bigger arte pool and more freedom on how you mix combos up would do wonders in making it better. It's obviously much better than Zestiria's 5 arte limit setup too. So you can have up to 20 artes equipped? I believe the right stick will be used for dodging, and one of the triggers for defense.Īnyway, I think this is a great improvement over Xillia's 16 arte setup, and Hearts R's 12 arte limit.
So it's basically the Graces/Zestiria where it encourages the the player to be more defensive, now its telling the player to go full on ham on the enemies. So It's now instead of gaining it like CC/SC(charging the meter, dodging, guarding etc) it's gained by being completely offensive. Every battle starts with 3 SG, while defeating an enemy grants one more SG unit. The number of artes which can be executed in a single streak is dependent on the character's Soul Gauge (SG).
It will also have several changes made to its standard controls, including default Free Run, a freely-rotating camera, and the possibility to assign multiple artes to the "Triangle" (PlayStation Triangle Button), "Square" (PlayStation Square Button), "Circle" (PlayStation Circle Button), and "X" (PlayStation X Button) buttons, allowing different artes to be linked together in a variety of combinations. Known as Liberation-LMBS, Linear Motion Battle System will retain smooth transition to battle similarly to Tales of Zestiria. I'm quite intrigued now.Ĭhecked out the Tales Wiki for more info. Looks like a strange form of the CC/SC meter. You’ll start each battle with three Souls and can increase your Souls by defeating enemies. The amount of times you can link artes is determined by the count of Souls in your possession. You can freely divide your artes among the Circle, Square, Triangle, and X buttons.
He follows Velvet due to a debt he owes her.Įleanor is part of the anti demon organization, “Seirei” (a group that uses the power of nature for their Artes.) She has a kind personality to most people, but shows a cold-hearted side to those that bare teeth towards the Seirei. Rokuro (pictured above) is a happy-go-lucky young swordsman, who is actually a Goma (those affected by the Gomabyo diseases that transforms them into monsters) but still maintains reason.
